Storytelling in Business – When Words Begin to Build Relationships

On September 14, a meeting entitled “Storytelling in Business” was held at Od Kuchni Restaurant in Lublin, organized by the Skynet Foundation’s Innovation Accelerator, the Profi Platform Project, and the LOTTO Foundation.

It was a meeting about the power of stories, but above all, about the power of authenticity and the human element in business communication.

From the very beginning, the unique atmosphere of the meeting encouraged openness, conversation, and the sharing of personal experiences. Our speaker, Mirek Urban – business psychologist, business trainer, and public speaking and storytelling coach, skilfully used the power of words to create a space where participants could feel comfortable, safe, and – most importantly – authentic.

He showed that storytelling is not simply a marketing technique or a way of presenting a product in a more appealing manner. Above all, it is the ability to talk about what truly matters to us – our experiences, values, challenges, successes, and the journey we have taken.

It is precisely these personal stories that can build credibility and trust. They make us see the person behind a brand, a company, or an idea.

Mirek Urban skilfully guided participants through the key elements of effective storytelling, showing how words can create an atmosphere of trust and engage an audience. At the same time, he encouraged everyone to look at their own experiences as a potential communication asset.

Because perhaps a story that we have always considered just an ordinary memory can become a story that strengthens our image, builds our personal brand, helps us connect with a client, or inspires someone to believe in our business and its values.

The meeting was also an invitation to find the courage to speak in our own voice. Instead of relying on dry facts, figures, and slogans – tell stories. Instead of simply presenting an offer – show why we created it, what stands behind it, and what truly matters to us.

It is authentic stories that stay in our memory the longest.

We would like to thank all participants for joining us, for their openness, and for their active engagement throughout the meeting. Special thanks go to Mirek Urban for this inspiring journey into the world of storytelling and for showing us that a well-told story can be not only a communication tool, but also a bridge between people.

The meeting was part of the series of meetings organized by the Skynet Foundation’s Innovation Accelerator, which aims to create a space for gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences, developing skills, and inspiring people to take action.

Because every brand has a story. You just need to learn how to tell it well.
